Brief Job Description:
We are looking for candidates who can join with in 20 -30 days Max for this positions
Release & Deployment Engineer is responsible to ensure Deployments done smoothly and proactive way of identifying the issues for Production Servers part of entire CSTG Applications.
The Role requires the person to be expert in different types of deployment tools, manual and automation wherever required. Expert in Engineering activities and communication with cross-functional teams
Roles & Responsibilities
* Build, maintain and continuously improve build/release infrastructure including source code repository, build tools and scripts, packaging and deployment tools
* Manage source code for an agile development environment
* Develop processes to ensure ongoing maintenance of all Releases.
* Integration and enhancement of automated test tools (in Bash, Perl, Python etc.) with the build system
* Experience in managing build and continuous integration environments.
* Experience with CVS, SVN, Clear case or other leading source control systems.
* Experience with Ant & Maven
* Experience with Hudson or JENKINS is required.
* Strong automation skills including Shell and one or more Perl, Python, bash
* Establish code base integrity, check-in validation rules and branch sync and collapse activities
* Recommend best practices for maintaining code quality, code coverage measurement and the use of static and dynamic analysis tools
* Having thorough knowledge in DBA activities and writing scripts, procedures will be needed
* Experience using latest tools (Rally, CDET, Jenkins) and other technologies.
* Strong analytical, problem solving skills; ability to work effectively under pressure
* Experience in Plan, Manage and Implement Production and Non Production Releases on Enterprise applications involving UNIX/ LINUX, Windows servers 2003 & 2008, VM ware, IIS 6.0 & 7.0, WEB & Application Servers
* Experience in HP tools usage like Kintana Package in the environments.
* Excellent communication skills
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
* Expert in DBA activities
* Expert in Oracle, Shell, Perl, PL/SQL, HTML script languages
* Knowledge in C, C++ or Java, java script, Jquery is added advantage
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
* ITIL foundation certification is added advantage
* Should have 6+ overall experience and should have 4 yrs min experience in Release & Deployment activities
* Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to manage competing high priority tasks.
* Ability to multitask and connecting with cross functional teams
* Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others
* Independent, Accountable, Sense of urgency, Flexible and adaptable
