Technical Sales Engineer ( Semiconductor Domain ) Job opportunity with Product Based MNC at Bangaore
JOB DESCRIPTION: Technical Sales Engineer:
Technical sales engineers combine technical knowledge with sales skills to provide advice and support on a range of products. Clients are usually technical staff from OEM, MNC and IDH organizations. The emphasis of the work varies depending on the level of technical knowledge needed to sell a particular product. Technical sales engineers are a key point of contact for clients and provide both pre- and after-design win advice. Apart from working with development engineers, they liaise regularly with other members of the marketing team and colleagues from a range of departments, such as purchasing, production and marketing, as well as senior company managers.
Typical work activities
Demand discovery: Search for opportunities among new and existing customers who might benefit from Company"s products or services and maximizing client potential in designated regions.
Promote system solutions or product solutions into defined customers directly and through distribution contacts
Develop relations with customers into long-term business partnerships, through the development of matrix relationships (engineers to directors).
Manage the technical interface to the customer including resolution of short term technical issues
Network within the organization to seek potential projects and areas where there is scope to promote company parts
Provide first level of technical assistance in selecting a part. Understand the needs of a customer and provide a signal chain solution that maximizes company content in sockets needed for that application
Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product meets customer needs and requirements
Support sales activities by attending technical conferences and other marketing events
Liaise with other members of the sales team and other FAE and system experts
Provide training and producing support material for other members of the sales team
The candidate should have the ability and skill set to:
Engage/interact with customer engineers through all stages of product development
Understand and have ability to present ADI"s signal chain solutions an product roadmaps to customers
Be the first point of contact for all related technical inquires
Connect customer's needs and goals to ADI"s solutions and capabilities
Assist in the sales process to capture design wins and benchmark analysis
Support reference designs, demos and sales collateral
Provide Product Training and support for customers and sales personnel
Support ADI's ongoing efforts with IDHs and 3rd party design houses
Qualifications required
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate, with a Bachelor"s degree in Electronics from a reputed College /University, with demonstrable experience of 3- 5 years in a technical sales role gained in a distributor or a semiconductor supplier. Knowledge of the Analog, Linear and Power market sector would be advantageous. A self-starter, you will have a proven background in new promoting technical solutions/products with a level of business development and account management skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills are requisite for this position.
